The Delmonas
The Delmonas are a British garage pop girl group, otherwise known as The Milkboilers. Members Sarah, Hilary, and Louise got their start when all three were dating Medway band Thee Milkshakes' band members, and sang backing vocals on their recordings. The Milkshakes also were their backing band, while Billy Childish and Mickey Hampshire both wrote most of their original tracks. In 1985, the band released their first full length album, Dangerous Charms, and in 1988 the follow-up, Delmonas 5!. Louise had since left the group and Hilary and Sarah had renamed themselves Miss Ida Red and Ludella Black. They were backed by the first lineup of Thee Mighty Caesars (Billy Childish, Russ Wilkins, and John Agnew). The new combo cranked out a louder, harder-hitting sound. Read more on Last.fm.
